God is always in search for the lost souls, seeking to bring them back to himself. He cares so much about those who are yet to experience his love and mercy, this is the sole reason why he sent his son to come to earth in form of man. To die and restore the lost back to him. As many people would think, God is not a partial God, he loves us all equally, including the lost souls. Now who are the lost? The lost souls are those that have turned away from God. In the scripture, the lost are often portrayed through parables like the prodigal son, the lost sheep and coin. These parables fit in well for the perfect description on how God goes all out for the lost. Until they are restored back to him, he never rests or gives up on them.

In this recent times, many have wandered away from the love of God and from the path of truth and righteousness, they have been entangled with sin and blinded with the pleasure of this world. They have strayed away like the lost sheep without a shepherd, out there in the wilderness, not knowing the dangers that lurks around them. However, the lost are not abandoned by God, God is actively in search of them like a good shepherd diligently searches for his lost sheep. God ever merciful and kind, seeking for them with an open arms, ready to receive them and make them his own. The joy that a shepherd gets when he finds his lost sheep is equivalent to the celebration that takes place in heaven when a lost soul return back to God.

If you ever feel lost, do not panic. No matter how lost or how far you’ve gone into the world, God still loves you and want you back to him, he earnestly awaits your return. You do not need to fix yourself before you return to him. Just go to him as you are, he save you and redeem you back to himself. Remember, Jesus came to die for you and I, he came to save the lost, not the righteous. This is a message of hope that no matter how darkness have covered you, Christ is inviting you into his kingdom of light and love.

What Does The Bible Say About The Lost?

The Bible describes the lost as all those who have isolated themselves from God. This simply means that anyone who does not have God is a lost soul. The scripture teaches us that it is only sin that separates us from God, and this sin cause us to be separate from God. However, God is actively seeking for the lost souls, no matter their race, gender, or occupation. He just wants to have all those who have strayed away back to him.

Luke 15:7 “I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent”. When a lost soul returns back to God. there is great celebration in heaven. And this is because, God does not wish for any soul to perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Colossians 1:13 “For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves”. This scripture reminds us that God has delivered us from the shackles of darkness and has transformed us into the kingdom of his dear son.

Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart”. This verse teaches us that the lost can be found, but they must desire to be saved first. God is always willing to save us, as long as we come to him.
