Pride is a subtle feeling, yet a very dangerous one that has the capacity to destroy lives and future. Pride is so sneaky that we might not know that it is in there. Pride is generally addressed in the scripture as a negative attribute that has no connection to God. Pride is portrayed as a barricade that stands before God and man. The Bible highlights the destructive potentials of pride. The first danger of pride is that it kills our relationship with God. Pride makes people to ignore the sovereignty of God, giving glory to themselves. Aside killing our relationship with God, pride also kill our relationship with people.

To avoid pride, we have to first acknowledge God as our source, giving him all the glory he deserves and never taking any to ourselves.
