Failure is deeply connected to humans, everyone on planet earth has failed at some point in their lives, it could be in business, politics, marriage, career or academic. When we fail in any area of life, we feel lost, sad and mostly filled with thoughts of self condemnation, but it is important to note as earlier stated that failure is a universal phenomenon and it is absolutely okay to fail. But what is not okay and g0dly, is failing and refusing to rise up. Entertaining and absorbing the negative thoughts and feelings that arise as a result of failure does no good to us. However, we are not ruling out the fact that it is usually not easy to stand tall and strong after a major setback or disappointment, but we are encouraging through the scriptures that when we fail, we shouldn’t remain at the spot where we failed. As Christians, we aware that we are not alone in this journey of life, God has not left us to fend for ourselves, so when we fail at any level let us encourage ourselves in the Lord and fall back to our feet.
Failure has some major negative impacts in our mental health. It drains and strips us off of our self esteem, all form of positivity in us goes down the drain. One major aspect of our lives that is usually greatly affected after we fail is our spiritual life. Failure triggers feelings and situations that will want to make us question our faith in God. However, as Christ followers, it shouldn’t be in our nature to remain down after we fail. Jesus Christ himself made us to understand that he is our present help in times of trouble, this is a great news and a delight to our spirits to know that we have a strong personality to run to when we encounter failure. When we fail, let us not given into fear, self condemnation and sadness, rather let’s dig deeper into God through studying his word and creating room for more fellowship with him.

What Does The Bible Say About Failure?
It will interest us to know that God knows and understands that we will fail at some point in life, thereby he has given us his words and promises to uphold us during the days when we go through disappointments. Proverbs 24:16 “For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes”. This is a confirmation that God is aware of the failures we will encounter in life. In this verses, acknowledges that we will definitely rise again after we will.
2 Corinthians 12:9 “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me”. In this scripture, Christ assures us that his grace is abundant for us, to guide us in weakness.
