
God’s nature is one that is incorruptible, filled with so many attributes and virtues. God’s nature is evidently displayed through his creatures. God’s nature refers to the personality of God and what is he stands for. The Bible detailed the nature of God in different verses in the scripture. In God’s nature, there are certain virtues that are attributed to him, and in this article, we will be discussing some of those attributes;
Love: Love is the first nature of God that can been seen all over. God’s love speaks aloud through the wonderful creatures which he used to show his great artistry power. Love is the defining attribute of God’s nature. This is the reason the Bible said that those who do not love, do not know God, because God himself is love. The loving nature of God made him send his only begotten son to die and save us from eternal damnation. In this sense, we are to imitate this very nature of God. As Christ followers, we’ve been called to love those around us, as it is the basic foundation of our Christian journey. Without love in our hearts, our Christian journey and faith will be draining and devastating.
Purity: Purity reflects God’s nature, and this can been seen in some Biblical stories and verses. The Book of Habakkuk 1:13 declared God as being pure, his eyes and his words. Purity is a very important aspect of God’s nature. It is a criteria that must be met by all those who wish to see him in Glory. God cannot stand the slightest sight of impurity.
Forgiveness: Forgiveness is is another wonderful nature of God. It is in the center of God’s nature. We can see from the scripture that God is been declared as an ever forgiving father and one who is slow to anger. Forgiveness is one teaching that Christ emphasized on. He commanded us to forgive our offenders. Forgiveness is very important in our Christian journey.
Kindness: Kindness is part of God’s beautiful nature and also a fruit of the spirit to be possessed by us. God is filled with kindness and mercy and we are to reflect this nature of God. These and many more are the true nature of God.

What Does The Bible Say About God’s Nature?
The Bible acknowledges several attributes that makes up God’s impeccable nature. His loving nature is a constant assurance to us. His patience is incomparable. Even when we are being difficult and unnecessarily difficult, he stands by with an open arm, waiting for us to turn to him.
1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness”. This verse speaks largely on the forgiving nature of God. John 4:24 “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth”. This scripture declares the immortal and truthful nature of God. God is an immortal that created mortals. This verse brings to our awareness that if we must serve God, we must do it in spirit and in truth.
