What Does The Bible Say About Asking And Receiving?

The Bible assures us of God’s multiple blessings that he is willing to give to us once we ask. God is ever merciful, filled with love and kindness. He invites us to come to him, to seek him and that we will find him. For whatever reason we go to God, he is ever willing to give us that which we ask of him.

Jeremiah 33:3 “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know”. God promises to show us great and mighty things we do not know when we call unto him. This verse underscores the importance of also seeking God for deeper connection.

Matthew 7:7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you”. God assures us here that when ever we ask, we will receive and whenever we knock on heaven gates, it will be opened unto God. This explains that we should have no doubt in God, for he is faithful and just to give us all that we ask of him.

Philippians 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God”. Instead pf worrying, let us present our troubles to God through prayers and our request shall be granted to us. This is proof that we have access to God in and out of season.
