40 Important Bible Verses About Unity In The Church

The Church of God is said to be united when Christ followers come together without discrimination to form a team, working and cooperating together in one love to exalt the name of God and bring his gospel to all people. The unity of the church is a representation of Christ’s typical lifestyle. Christ has called us to be united as he is united with the trinity. Unity in church does not only depict coming together, but it deeply means our ability as Christians to understand that we are indestructible when we come together. When the church is united, God will be glorified and his kingdom will reign on earth. More souls will be drawn to him and the powers of hell will be broken. The power of unity remains one of the strongest force that can be used to achieve anything we set our minds on. The message of unity in the church is one that Paul the Apostle profoundly emphasized on.

There are ways which the church can use to pursue and achieve unity in the church. One of the ways is by avoiding any sort of evil and sinful practices among us, either lying, stealing, killing, gossiping, or bearing grudge against one another. As little as these practices seem, it chases the Holy spirit away from the church and this can bring disunity in the church. For where the Holy Spirit is absent, demons will be present.

Another way to pursue and keep the spirit of unity alive in the church is by constantly talking about the dangers and realities of disunity. In realizing that division is one of Satan’s tool of destruction, it will help the church to jointly fight against whatsoever that will bring division among them. The power of unity is a strong weapon of righteousness. Let us endeavor to continually abide in love and unity for this is the will of God concerning his church.
