Whenever we feel down and alone in this world, we should always remember as Christians that God’s presence goes with us wherever we go. He is present everywhere, even in the deep waters and seas. The Bible tells us about the unwavering presence of God that surrounds us even when we are unaware. However, God does not dwell where he is not wanted nor needed. What Does The Bible Say About God’s Presence?

In several books of the Bible, we can see that God constantly calls us to himself. He encourages us to abide in him at all times;

Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity”. This is God speaking to us through Jeremiah his prophet, here he encourages us to seek him wholeheartedly. He also assures us that when we seek him with all our heart, we will definitely find him, and if we are in any sort of captivity, he will deliver us from it. This is calling to draw near unto God.

Psalm 139:7-10 “Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast”. This is a confession by David the Psalmist. Here he acknowledged that God can be found everywhere, even in the least expected place, he is there. It simply means that God is always present in our lives at every moment, ever ready to hold our hands and guide us through the walk of life.
