As a true true Christian, the first thing you need to always fixate your mind and hope on is to always seek the face of God, and to be free from sin. For the book of Psalm 91:15, God made it clear that if we call upon him, he will answer, he will be with us in times of trouble, he will rescue us, and most importantly, he will honor us. This part of scripture is usually one of my best. This can only be attained when we are free from sins and have confessed from our wrong doings.
Now in Romans 3:23, the Bible also made it clear that all have sinned and fallen short of the mercy and glory of God. It further stretches that if we say we do not have sin, then we have sinned for lying. This is why it’s often good for someone who is much holy to pray for us. In Catholicism, saints are regarded as holy beings and often times we look up to them to aid us in praying to God so our prayers can be heard.
We all can actually pray to God ourselves and ask for anything, and he will make it happen in his own time. But also, we can ask others to also pray for us, and this is where saints comes in. Saints are not dead, they are alive and always intercedes on our behalf.
