What Does the Bible Say About Wives Duties?
The Bible gave clear instructions on the duties of a wife to her husband and her children. She is meant the be the organizer and keeper of her home. The Bible states clearly that wives should submit to their husbands in all things, this is to say that there is no partial submission, the submission must be in full. Let us take a look at some verses;
Titus 2:4-5 “Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God”. Paul the Apostle instructs older wives to teach the younger wives to love their husbands and children. Going further he states that wives are to have self control, to be home keepers and makers, they are to be kind and subject to their husbands. This very scripture opens our eyes to understand that love in marriage shouldn’t only come from the husband as believed by many that love only should be expressed by the husband.
