Sickness and death are the two inevitable realities of human. Although sickness and death were not part of God’s original  plans for humanity. Sickness and death gives us an avenue to draw closer to the person who conquered sickness and the power of grave for our sake. In Christ, we receive healing when we are sick and we find hope, joy and the promise of eternal life when death visits us.

Matthew 9:35 “Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction.” Jesus demonstrates his love and compassion for those bound by sickness and pain. This verse reveals that the coming of Jesus to earth and his sacrifice on the cross of Calvary was to restore what sin took away from humanity and also conquer the power of death.
