Plants are essential living creations of God to man, they serve several important purposes to humans. They are a major source of food to man and animals, they  are useful in decorative purposes, psycho therapeutic purpose and largely in medicine for the production of drugs. However, plants are living proof of God’s beautiful creative power, they showcase the beautiful and unexplainable power of God. Plants are also a testimony of God’s love for us, providing food for us through them. These beautiful creations bring nothing but beauty and perfection into nature, they are nature’s way of expressing and spreading happiness. In this article, we will be writing down some powerful Bible verses that talk about plants.

Different plants in the Bible depicts different meanings. A typical example is the popular Lily plant also known in the Bible as the Lily of the valley, this flowering plant symbolizes purity of the heart and soul, humility and new life. Solomon in the Bible also used the Lily plant to describe the love and beauty of a woman.

In Genesis 1:29, the Lord said “Behold I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth and every tree yielding  seed to you, it shall be for food”. The scripture made us to understand that the most vital reason God created plants for us is for our provision[food]. In Psalms 1, the Bible used the blooming of a plant to illustrate the life of righteous man who walks in the ways of the Lord.
