From Adam and Eve’s disobedience to God, which caused a separation, to the people of Sodom and Gomorrah, and to some kings that committed all sort of evil in the Bible. Using King Manasseh as a case study of evil kings. He was one of the Kings in the Bible that brought evil into the world. He was known for promoting Idolatry throughout his kingdom. The Bible acknowledges the existence of evil, right from the days of old till now. However, the Bible treats the subject matter of evil with hope. The Bible recounts the origin of evil from Satan. Evil started with him when he chose to rebel against God, and not only did he rebel against God. He succeeded in winning some angels to his side. This act introduced evil into this world, and ever since then, evil has been in practice. In all of these evil happenings, Bible has taught us how to respond and overcome the evil in this world, no matter what form it takes.

John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” This verse brings to our understanding that God is aware of the evil in the world. Here he offers us his peace and hope, saying that in him we will have peace. He assures us of his victory over evil.

Romans 12:21 “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good”. God speaks to us here, he encourages us not to be consumed by the evil in this world, rather we should consume the evil in this world with our good deeds. This scriptures teaches us how to live successfully in this delicate time.

Ephesians 6:12 “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms”. God reminds us here that our fight against the evil in the world is spiritual, for we are not fighting against physical entities. This scripture is meant to quickens our spiritual strength.
